The Selma Markowitz Care Center

Dedicated in 1997 and named for the founder of Hospice of Central Ohio, the Selma Markowitz Care Center is located on the sixth floor of Licking Memorial Hospital. It is managed and staffed by the clinical staff of Hospice of Central Ohio. The 7 bed care center is designed for patients needing symptom management.

The Selma Markowitz Care Center is completely staffed and operated by Hospice of Central Ohio, and provides:

1. 24-hour care by trained hospice professional staff
2. Private rooms that encourage visitation
3. Accommodation for family overnight stays
4. Whirlpool bath with lift
5. Family kitchen
6. Family living room
7. Children's play area
8. Quiet, homelike atmosphere

The Selma Markowitz Care Center is located on the sixth floor of Licking Memorial Hospital, 1320 West Main Street, Newark, Ohio, and includes seven beautiful private rooms. Space is leased from Licking Memorial Health System. The Selma Markowitz Care Center is completely owned and operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.
